Last updated: August 2026 · App: GeauxWeather (com.geauxweather.app)
GeauxWeather is free software. It does not show ads, does not include third-party analytics or advertising SDKs, and does not require an account.
The developers of GeauxWeather do not operate a backend that collects personal data from the app. Weather and map features contact public third-party services you choose to use by using the app.
Those providers process the requests your device sends (for example location coordinates for a forecast). Their own privacy policies apply to those services.
Location permission is optional. You can search for a city by name without granting GPS. When you use “current location”, coordinates stay on device for fetching weather and are sent only to the services above as needed for that feature.
Settings, saved places, and last-known weather may be stored on your device (app preferences / local storage). This data is not uploaded to a GeauxWeather server.
Optional severe-storm alerts use Android notifications. You can deny notification permission; the rest of the app continues to work.
This website (geauxweather.com) is a static landing page. It does not set advertising cookies or use third-party analytics.
